Tom is convinced that he is really a human trapped in a cat's body. A towering intellectual, he is sophisticated, educated, domesticated, and very well read. Also arrogant and condescending, but most great minds have justifiably inflated egos. Kenny is convinced that his universe is not real; that he is actually a fictional character directed by beings or forces unseen. He demonstrates this princple through his power to transform into toasters, sandwiches, and other household items. Kenny is a little unusual. Remember, there is no scooper. Ed is convinced he should have gotten a dog. He is also the constant victim of vandalism and identity theft. His therapist assures him that it's not the cats - cats are, after all, just dumb animals. Ed is in complete agreement.
